General Terms and Conditions of JiuJitsulabs
General

  1. The minimum age for participation in the lessons is 18 years. Persons under the age of eighteen must provide written permission from their parent/guardian.
  2. The tuition fee must be paid in full before the next lesson, otherwise access may be refused. A journey card is not transferable!
  3. Cancelling private classes within a window of 24 hours, give JiuJitsulabs the right too maintain a 100% cancellation fee.
  4. Participation in classes at the gym is entirely at your own responsibility and risk. You must inform the trainer of any problems or changes in your health before and during the lessons. Always listen to what your own body indicates.
  5. There is physical contact during lessons. You are aware of all risks associated with physical contact and bear the (financial and/or physical) consequences of any disclosure of these risks.
  6. You are obliged to wear suitable and clean sports clothing, also on the instructions of the trainers. For all martial arts lessons, clothing must not contain zippers and/or other hard and/or sharp objects. During lessons, wearing watches, earrings, piercings, rings, etc. and/or eating chewing gum is not permitted. Long hair must be tied back to avoid discomfort for other participants. Wearing glasses is also not permitted. Wearing contact lenses is at your own risk.
  7. When practicing techniques and sparring, the following applies in bjj sports lessons: Stop is stop.
  8. The techniques learned in martial arts classes can cause serious and permanent injury to a person. The knowledge acquired and the techniques learned may not be used outside the gym, unless there would be emergency defense within the meaning of the (criminal) law.
  9. Instructions from the trainers must be followed at all times for your own safety and the safety of others.

Liability

  1. Jiu Jitsu Labs is not liable for damage resulting from participation in classes or use of the gym facilities. Jiu Jitsulabs is not liable for (personal) damage.
  2. JiuJitsu Labs is not liable for additional damage and/or consequential damage.
  3. If you do not comply with any of the provisions of these general terms and conditions, the Jiu Jitsulabs trainers are entitled to deny you access to the gym and the lessons, at the trainers’ own discretion.
  4. If a provision of these general terms and conditions is declared inapplicable (or legally annulled), the other provisions of these general terms and conditions will remain in full force.
    Amendments
  5. Jiu Jitsu labs has the right to change the general terms and conditions and tuition fees at any time.
